Warming-up Meeting on Thursday August 28, 6.00 pm

There will be a warming-up meeting in the Restaurant Okzident which is located inside the Hamburg Museum of Ethnology (visitors of the restaurant do not need to pay the entrance fee to the museum) and serves a variety of food items. The Ethnological Museum is situated in the Rothenbaumchaussee 64, in walking distance from the conference venue. From the Dammtor Railway Station you can take the bus No. 34 (direction: "Lufthansa Basis", station is called "Museum für Völkerkunde", ticket EUR 1.65, travelling time only 2 minutes), or walk by foot from the railway station along the Rothenbaumchaussee. The warming-up meeting will take place from 6.00 till 9.00pm. It is possible to register for the conference during the meeting.

Conference dinner on Friday August 29, 7.00pm

The conference dinner will take place at 7.00pm at the Italian restaurant "Casa Mia" which is located in Grindelhof 65 (also within walking distance from the conference site). There are three dishes you can choose from:

• Vegetarian meal:
  Penne alle verdure: EUR 11,50
  Durum wheat pasta with a rich mixture of vegetables and tasty tomato sauce with garlic and herbs, served with a mixed salad
  
  
• Meal with meat:
  Scaloppina ai Funghi: EUR 13,50
  Veal cutlets sauteed in a fresh Italian brown mushroom sauce with cognac and vegetables
  
  
• Meal with fish:
  Calamari alla Livornese: EUR 12,50
  Baby squid with fresh tomato sauce, garlic, capers and olives, served with mixed salad

For organizational reasons we ask you to pay for the dish you selected already when registering for the conference. Beverages can be ordered in the restaurant a la carte and should be paid by yourself at the location.

Guided tour through Hamburg by bus on Saturday, August 30, 6:30pm

We cordially invite everybody to join a tour through Hamburg by bus which is free for registered participants of the conference. The tour will take two hours and will include an English speaking guide.
